Since 2001, the Lower Saxony Minister of Social Affairs and Women awards special engagements for Women, Family, Health and Integration with the Juliane Bartel Media Award. With the price, the Ministry of Social Affaires and Women wants to encourage a differentiated representation of women in the media and offer a broader view on the complex lives of women.
